You are listening to Kibra News Network.
How KNN’s live coverage works, and how you can help on the big days.
Some news cannot wait for a full story. On those days KNN will run a live page with short updates posted as events unfold.
When we go live
Budget readings and big announcements that change prices or services
Election results and by-elections
Court rulings that affect Kibra, such as housing, land and eviction cases
Floods, fires and other emergencies in and around Kibra
How it works
Every update has a time, with the newest at the top.
We check each update before it goes up. If we only have one source, we say so.
If something turns out to be wrong, we correct it on the page and mark the correction. We do not quietly delete it.
How you can help
If you are where something is happening, WhatsApp +254 721 319 377 with what you see, where and when. Photos and short videos help. Tell us your name and whether we can credit you.
Your safety comes first. Do not go towards danger to get a picture. In an emergency, call 999 or 112 first. (Emergency numbers)
